01 — Monumental Hearth & Fireplaces
The anchor of the room, set in living stone.
The hearth is where the alpine estate gathers, and it deserves a centerpiece built to the scale of the mountain outside it. We hand-lay massive, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces that read as a single, monolithic gesture — every stone selected, split, and set to carry the eye upward through the full height of the great room. The chimney mass is precision-laid for draw and permanence alike, a monumental column of native stone that anchors the living space and holds its heat long after the fire settles.
The grand centerpiece, built to be the warmest, most permanent thing in the house.
An estate belongs to its mountain when it is built from it. We source native river rock and fieldstone from the Roaring Fork Valley itself — stones tumbled by the same creeks and carried by the same ridgelines the estate looks out on — and lay them into exterior masonry that anchors the architecture directly into its rugged alpine setting. Chimney bases, foundation veneers, and entry walls read as though the mountain has stepped inside the property line, the color and grain of the stone continuous with the landscape it rises from.
Stone from the valley, returned to the valley — the estate made native by its own material.
02 — Native Alpine Masonry
The mountain, brought into the property line.
03 — Luxury Outdoor Living
Stone patios built for the long alpine season.
The mountain estate lives outdoors as much as in, and the stonework sets the stage. We build custom stone patios in precision-laid flagstone and fieldstone, fitted with built-in architectural fire pits that hold a blaze through the deepest snow, and high-end outdoor kitchens set into stone counters and masonry surrounds — designed for year-round entertaining, from the first warm afternoon of spring to the clearest, coldest nights of winter. Every joint is set to shed the freeze-thaw cycle rather than fail beneath it.
Outdoor living built for every season the mountain serves up.
Stone does more than finish an estate — it can hold it up. We lay precision-set grand entrance pillars that frame the arrival and carry the gate and arch in permanent support, and we build decorative retaining structures that deliver both aesthetic grandeur and the permanent stability the hillside demands. Every pillar, seat wall, and terrace edge is set on a proper footing and laid to carry real load, so the stonework is never merely decorative — it is structural stonework doing the work the mountain requires of it.
Grand to look at, permanent to lean on — stonework that carries its own weight and the estate's.
04 — Structural Estate Stonework
