01 — Architectural Timber Framing
The bones of the Aspen estate, shown with pride.
The exposed heavy-timber truss is the signature of the alpine estate — and it is the first structure the mountain tests. We raise massive Douglas fir and reclaimed beams into architectural framing that defines the space while carrying the immense snow loads a high-altitude winter stacks onto the roof. Every chord, heel, and connection is precision-crafted so the timber does its work in the open, not hidden in a wall, and holds the load for generations without a complaint.
Structural timber, joined by hand — the skeleton of the house made into its most beautiful feature.
The interior is finished by the same hands that frame the roof. We build bespoke cabinetry and custom millwork to the exact grain, the exact reveal, and the exact estate they will live in — from paneled great rooms to high-end mudrooms tailored for luxury ski and snowboard gear storage, with built-in racks, heated benches, and drying systems built into the joinery itself. Every built-in is fitted to the architecture rather than set against it, so the interior reads as one continuous, intentional gesture.
Flawless interior finishing — the millwork is the architecture, not an accessory to it.
02 — Bespoke Millwork & Cabinetry
Interiors joined to the life lived inside.
03 — Extreme-Weather Exteriors
Wood that meets the mountain and survives it.
At elevation, exterior wood is asked to take brutal alpine sun, freeze-thaw cycling, and weeks of saturating snowmelt in the same season. We specify custom decking and exterior woodwork in ultra-resilient species and thermally treated materials purpose-built for deep-freeze and high-UV exposure — assembled with fastening details that accommodate the expansion and contraction the mountain forces on every joint. The result is exterior architecture that weathers honestly and refuses to rot.
Exteriors built for the climate they will actually see — not the climate in a catalog.
The modern Aspen estate lives where the old craft and the new form meet. We blend traditional, handcrafted wood joinery — mortise, tenon, and the hand-fitted connection — with sleek, modern steel tension members and expansive floor-to-ceiling glass, so the timber reads as warm and grounded against the precision of a steel-and- glass envelope. The joinery does the structural work; the glass and steel carry the view. Together they produce a building that feels both deeply crafted and unmistakably modern.
Traditional handcraft, modern line — the alpine integration done once, and done right.
